I haven’t any problem asking a woman out. It only takes an open mouth and lungs to push the words past the teeth. I think anyone who lacks the courage to communicate probably shouldn’t. I can’t see maintaining a relationship when one of the people involved is so self-serving and selfish that he makes protecting his pride the paramount issue. You must have the guts to put your heart on the line regardless of the consequence or you’re denying others the opportunity to have an equitable relationship. Think how selfish being afraid really is – you’re making another human being do twice the work to reap less of the reward. I don’t know anyone who’s worth that much trouble. And frankly most people silently agree. The ones who lack the courage usually remain alone.
